Our review of Ao Nang Seafront Thai Resort

Ao Nang Seafront is a very well-located resort, one of the handful situated directly on the beach front in Ao Nang. Noise can be a problem during the day, due to the proximity of the road, but at night you will appreciate being able to step straight out into the main restaurant and shopping area. The swimming pool and other public areas are well-shielded from the street, however. The resort itself is nicely designed with Thai roofs and the staff are pleasant and well-mannered, as most have been working there for years.

The guesthouse option provided is a good budget choice, especially as the resort facilities (such as the swimming pool) are available to guests here, but the rooms are not quite as nice, and the sidestreet on which the rooms are located is also the back entrance for many restaurants on the beach front so it can be noisy and dirty.

Facing the Andaman Sea and located right in the center of Ao Nang with a lush mountain greenery rising behind it and the Andaman Sea right in front, Sea Front Thai Resort, "The pearl of Ao Nang" is an exclusive resort, that offers a warm traditional, Thai atmosphere from the very beginning, nice and private and an ideal place to relax in the sun, sand, pool & sea.

Rooms
In 2001 we have renovated all rooms and the general resort area. We have 8 Resort Superior Balcony rooms on the first floor. 14 Family suites are on the ground floor facing our pool and spectacular garden. The resort itself prides itself with a high standard of cleanliness and personal attention in a homely atmosphere.

Approximately 50-100 meters apart from the resort you can find our Guesthouses (Annex). It is located in a small "cosy" back street approximately 15 meters from the beach.

In 2001 we have renovated all rooms with new color, new curtains, partly new furniture, new terrace, etc. Our Guesthouses (Annex) are entitled to use all facilities from the resort such as breakfast area, swimming pool, pool bar, reception, etc. We have 2 room categories: standard and deluxe.

Reservation Policy
Prices are per room per night, based on up to 2 people sharing in the standard and superior balcony rooms, and up to 3 people sharing in the deluxe balcony and family suite rooms, and include buffet (Nov - Apr) or a la carte (May - Oct) breakfast, VAT and service charge. Peak season (15 Dec - 15 Jan): minimum stay of 5 nights required.

Family policy: Extra bed and breakfast in every room category: 550 THB. Children under 12 years of age stay free of charge when sharing parents' room with no extra bed; optional breakfast charge of 150 THB daily.

Promotion:
Special discounted rate (valid until 30 April 2012): Yourkrabi.com can offer a special discount of 20% on the rates above for any stay completed before 30 April 2012, not including the peak season dates of 15 December - 15 January. Applies to accommodation in the main resort only (not in the Guesthouse). Does not apply to any extra beds or other supplements, which must be paid in full. This promotion cannot be combined with any other offer.

Cancellation Policy
Ao Nang Seafront Resort will charge the following cancellation penalties:
- Cancellation or early check out notified to resort more than 15 days before arrival: no charge.
- Cancellation or early check out notified less than 15 days before arrival during peak season: 25% of the total value of the booking.
- Cancellation or early check out notified less than 15 days before arrival at all other times: one night's stay.
- No show: no refund will be given.

Please note than following cancellation, any refund due under the hotel policy above will be subject to a processing charge of 5% of refund value + 350 THB to cover bank costs.
Amendments to any booking (e.g. change of dates, extension of stay) that do not require a refund may be made free of charge.
