Promotions for Green Season
Most hotels in Krabi reduce their room rates by 30 - 50% during the months of May - October. In addition, many have bonus nights promotions where, for example you can stay 4 nights and pay only 3. Budget hotels in Krabi
Krabi, and Ao Nang in particular, can be difficult for the budget-conscious traveller. There are, however, several nice places that fall into the budget category and they are listed below. All offer good quality accommodation in standard double or twin rooms for 800 - 2000 baht (around US$20 - $50) during the tourist high season (Nov - April). Even better deals can be found during the months of May - October. Check the individual pages for more details.
There is, of course, even cheaper accommodation available if you are prepared to turn up and look for it; unfortunately none reliably accept reservations. Decent backpacker rooms with basic facilities (fan and cold water only) can be found for around 400 baht, especially in Krabi Town and Ton Sai Beach. Super cheap rooms come in at around 200 - 300 baht, although do not offer much in the way of cleanliness or comfort.
If you prefer to stay on the islands, Koh Lanta offers the best range of budget accommodation, far cheaper than the equivalent standard rooms on the mainland or Koh Phi Phi. Click on the link provided to visit our dedicated site on Lanta hotels and resorts.

Excellently located high rise block, right in the middle of town near the night market, with recently refurbished rooms.

The only hotel in town with swimming pool and sea views, this has more of a resort feel in a quieter location.

Up on the hill behind Ton Sai Beach, these wooden huts on stilts are popular with backpackers.
