Dream Valley Resort was one of the first bungalow operations to open in Ton Sai, and is owned by a local Ao Nang family. Stretching back up the pleasant green hillside from the main walkway behind the beach, it offers a wide range of accommodation, including a new range of "Railay Beach" quality rooms, though you will only be able to use the facilities in the evening and early morning, due to the generated power. 24 hour mains electricity is promised sometime in late 2009, but the exact date is uncertain.

Accommodation at Dream Valley is clean and well-maintained, as are the garden and restaurant areas, and aside from a few quirks (noted below) the resort represents a good value for money, mid-range choice if you plan to stay in Ton Sai beach. All rooms are quiet, even during the night, as the generator is located several hundred metres away down the hill.

Because the resort has been expanded over the years, there are several different room categories. We explain them below. For those who have visited the resort before, the oldest type of rooms - bamboo huts - are not available for advance booking, but are reserved for walk-in guests only.

Fan rooms:
Standard: wooden bungalow with outdoor terrace, wood floors, ceiling fan and semi-open air bathroom (cold water shower & flushing toilet)
Superior: concrete bungalow with outdoor terrace, tiled floors, ceiling fan, wardrobe, and small indoor bathroom (cold water shower). Toilet is placed at a funny angle right next to the door in some rooms.
Deluxe: (new category) a spacious wooden bungalow, with extra large terrace and sun deck, nice furniture, TV, fridge and smart bathroom with glass sink and hot water "rain" shower (large shower head). Fan only, no air con.
Air con rooms:
Standard: concrete bungalow, same size and style as superior fan, but with an air conditioning unit in the bedroom. NEW! Hot water shower and TV.
Superior: concrete bungalow with a large picture window and terrace. Air conditioning unit, hot water shower and TV. Twin rooms offer mattresses on a raised platform and a smaller bathroom; double rooms have a proper bed and a slightly larger bathroom.
Deluxe: brand new rooms located towards the back of the resort with stunning cliff views. Ground floor and upper floor, tiled throughout, with granite bathroom, hot water "rain" shower, TV, fridge and air conditioning. Wood panelling behind bed. Double beds only.
