Family hotels in Krabi

Mainland Krabi is fairly limited in its choice of true family hotel accommodation (Ko Lanta does much better in this respect). Though most centrally-located hotels will offer their standard rooms as interconnecting pairs, there is little in the way of suites, apartments, or rooms with basic kitchen facilities, though these can be found a bit further out from the beach.

In terms of facilities, almost all hotels have a children’s splash pool attached to their main swimming pool; the larger hotels may also offer a small play area, kids club or babysitting services. Cots for children under the age of 3 are normally provided free of charge.

Below we list a few family and children-friendly hotels, in the sense that they offer accommodation designed for families of 4 and over to stay together in one room or connecting rooms, sometimes with access to a kitchen. We also list some apartments and villas that are fully serviced (as opposed to the self-catering kind more commonly found in Europe) as we know it won’t be much of a holiday if you have to clean up after your kids!

This type of accommodation is highly recommended for families as it gives you the space hotel rooms cannot, and it also means (if you have young children who sleep early) that you don’t have to spend your evenings in the dark, or whispering outside on the balcony.

Please note that most of our other recommended hotels in Krabi do also offer triple rooms, extra beds, or baby cots in their standard rooms – and these are normally adequate for families with very young children, who can share a large single bed, or teenagers who are able to sleep separately in their own room.
