Laanta Lanta Festival 2010

The 7th annual Laanta Lanta Festival will take place this year on the island from 7 - 9 March.

Main events will be centered around the"Old Town", in the south east corner of the island and will include shows of folk dancing and song; displays from local artists and craftsmen, traditional games and cultural shows, as well as a market selling food and handicrafts.

The aim is to showcase the island's rich mix of cultural heritage with its Chinese, sea gypsies and Muslim settlers, as well as its traditional way of life.
