Haleeva Sunshine is not a traditional resort, custom built in its own grounds. Instead, it consists of a row of the ubiquitous Ao Nang shop-houses that have been restructured inside and given the contemporary Thai style design treatment. The small open area at the back has been transformed into a pretty pool and garden, with a fantastic view over the Ao Nang Cliffs. So what could have been another anonymous guesthouse, like those on the opposite side of the street, is now an interesting hotel and something a little different on the Ao Nang hotel scene.
Located right next to The Cliff Resort, and opposite Ao Nang Premier Resort, Haleeva is slightly “out of town” – though with the commercial area creeping outwards you will not have far to walk to get to shops and restaurants. The beach itself is around 700 metres away.
The hotel entrance is directly on the main road down to the beach and all the rooms overlook either this road or the fabulous Ao Nang cliffs to the rear – and the rooms on the upper floors (stairs only) also enjoy that rare thing in Ao Nang – a (very partial) sea view.
Haleeva has recently (summer 2010) seen a complete change in management: a younger family member has taken over, bringing with him a fresh, more friendly and informal style to the place: room rates have been lowered, and more in the way of services (tour and travel arrangements) are now on offer, making this a good value place to stay.
Think of Haleeva as a budget hotel with some deluxe touches: a small swimming pool and a couple of well-priced suite rooms; or an upmarket guesthouse: young flashpackers would feel right at home, as would families or groups of friends.
All rooms are non-smoking, though smoking is permitted on the balconies.
Haleeva Sunshine Resort is located in Ao Nang, around 700m from the beach. It is on the outskirts of the main commercial zone – there are banks and small restaurants directly outside, with many more shops, restaurants etc. less than 100m walk away.

Charges & Surcharges: Rates already include all taxes and charges: there is nothing further to pay. A third person aged ten or over staying in any room must pay an extra bed supplement of 650 THB per night for superior and grand superior rooms, or 1050 THB for deluxe rooms. A maximum of one extra bed is permitted per room. One child aged 4 - 10 years of age may stay free in any room, using the existing bedding (no extra bed); breakfast will be charged at 120 THB per night. Second child under 10(if any) will count as an adult and must take an extra bed supplement. Baby cots can be provided free of charge, subject to availability.
Amendments & Cancellations: Reservation deposits at Haleeva Sunshine are fully refundable up to 7 days before arrival in green season, 14 days before arrival in high season, and 21 days before arrival in peak season. After that a late cancellation penalty of one night will be charged in low or high seasons. In peak season, the late cancellation penalty will be the full booking value (no refund). The same penalties apply to early check out (shortened stay).
All refunds are subject to a processing charge of 5% + THB 350 to cover bank costs. Amendments to any booking (e.g. change of dates, extension of stay) that do not require a refund may be made free of charge.
