Belonging to the brother of Ao Nang Village‘s proprietor, Me Mee (a.k.a. MiMi, Mee Mee or even Meme) Bungalows is located right next door to that establishment and is a small, clean, family-run place in much the same vein.
The room layout is a little more cramped than Ao Nang Village – there is not so much open green space here – but the rooms themselves are almost identical inside: tiled throughout, very clean and decorated in the style of an average Thai home, with shiny bedspreads, frills and pastel shades – in short, not very stylish!
They are, however, decent value in the increasingly expensive centre of Ao Nang. Mee Mee’s rooms are located on two floors (one ground and one upper storey), either in single ‘house’ units or in a terraced block of four. They all have an outdoor balcony with seating, which, on the upper floor gives you a nice view of the Ao Nang cliffs. All rooms come with fan and air conditioning.
A new set of family rooms with 3 large single beds have recently been constructed (2010). These offer proper bedding for 3 people, rather than the usual folding camp bed added into double / twin rooms which can be uncomfortable. Facilities are the same as in the standard a/c rooms.
Note that there is no swimming pool in this hotel.
The main road entrance to Me Mee houses a small restaurant and tour office – the rooms themselves are located away from the road in the back. The guesthouse is located around 300m from the beach, with all shops and amenities within easy walking distance.
Me Mee is family-run, by original Ao Nang villagers, so you can expect good information and local knowledge to help you make the most of your stay.
Me Mee Bungalows is named after the owners’ daughter. It is located in the middle of Ao Nang, directly opposite McDonald’s on the main road down to the beach, which is about 300m away. Shops, tour agents and dining options (much more than burgers!) are right on the doorstep.

Charges & Surcharges: Rates already include all taxes and charges: there is nothing further to pay. No extra beds available. A maximum of 2 children under the age of 10 may share a room with parents at no extra charge; breakfast is not provided.
Amendments & Cancellations: Reservation deposits at Me Mee Bungalows are fully refundable up to 14 days before arrival. After that a late cancellation penalty of one night will be charged. The same penalty applies to early check out (shortened stay) and no-shows.
All refunds are subject to a processing charge of 5% + THB 350 to cover bank costs. Amendments to any booking (e.g. change of dates, extension of stay) that do not require a refund may be made free of charge.
