Phu Pha Ao Nang Resort is one of Krabi’s best value boutique hotels. Taking nature as its inspiration, it transforms locally sourced materials into a gorgeous and unique place to stay. Owned by a native Ao Nang lady, it offers excellent value, as well as a chance to support the local economy.
The accommodation is laid out around a swimming pool and surrounded by beautiful green foliage and tropical flowers, with a backdrop of the towering Ao Nang cliffs that border the resort grounds.
Each pair of the 24 deluxe and superior rooms is made entirely from a different tropical wood (and different panelling designs), with bamboo accents. Deluxe rooms come with double beds only, are slightly larger and have a bathtub in the bathroom; but otherwise are identical in facilities to the superior category.
The resort swimming pool is a good size and offers a proper children’s area with safety barrier; there is a restaurant and pool bar next to this; as well as a small massage pavilion and herbal steam room for the use of in house guests.
Phu Pha (pronounced poo-paa, not foo-faa!) is located 800m as the crow flies from the Andaman Sea at Ao Nang Beach, though twists and turns in the road make it a 1.5km walk; the final 1km of this is lined with shops and restaurants. The resort also offers a complimentary 4 times daily shuttle service to the beach front, with return at appointed times, or on demand.
Service at the resort is friendly and personal; the romantic setting would make it an ideal honeymoon location for those on a budget, or for any couples getaway. Also worth noting for Muslim travellers: the resort is Muslim-owned, so Halal food is served here, both for breakfast and other meals.
Phu Pha Ao Nang Resort is situated in a quiet area, 1.5km from beach. It is approximately 500m from the beachfront commercial zone (shops, restaurants etc.); there is a 4 times daily shuttle bus to and from sea front.

Charges & Surcharges: Rates already include all taxes and charges: there is nothing further to pay. Third person aged 12 years old and over staying in any room will be charged an extra bed supplement of 850 THB per night. Children under the age of 12 with no extra bed will be charged 150 THB per child per night for breakfast, up to a maximum of 2 children per room (no extra bedding provided).
Amendments & Cancellations: Reservation deposits at Phu Pha Ao Nang Resort are fully refundable up to 7 / 15 / 20 days prior to check in (in low / high / peak seasons). Bookings cancelled following these cut-off dates will not be refunded at all; early check-out or shortened stays will be charged a one night penalty.
All refunds are subject to a processing charge of 5% + THB 350 to cover bank costs. Amendments to any booking (e.g. change of dates, extension of stay) that do not require a refund may be made free of charge.
