Krabi La Playa Resort is located only 250 meters from the beautiful sandy Nopparat Thara beach and 400 meters from Ao Nang Beach, and in walking distance to the shopping areas.

Rooms
Krabi La Playa Resort is divided into three wings: a four-storey building and two five-storey buildings, each of which is equipped with elevators. There are 3 types of room to choose from:

- Superior: a 46 square meter room with individual air-conditioning, cable and satellite TV , hairdryer, in-room mini-bar, private balcony, direct dial phone.

- Deluxe: in addition to standard facilities, the Deluxe rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, slippers, and bathtubs separated from shower.

- Pool-Side Deluxe: these rooms have direct access to swimming pool and some have individual whirlpools integrated into the large swimming pool. As well as all the facilities of the deluxe rooms, you will also find a day bed, bathrobes, DVD/ CD player, personal safe and WiFi internet in-room. Breakfast can be served in-room and there is also a turn-down service. Note: no bathtubs.

All types of room are available with connecting doors for families.

Facilities An 853 sqm swimming pool lined with turquoise blue tiles is a main attraction of our resort. It is the biggest swimming pool in Ao Nang; service hours: 8.00 – 20.00 hrs. We also have a fitness room, meeting and function facilities, Thai massage service and board games available at reception. The resort restaurant, Spices, serves Thai and western meals, including a vegetarian menu. There is both a lobby bar and a swim-up pool bar, open until 8pm only.

Your Krabi's review of Krabi La Playa Resort: An excellent medium-sized resort, very-well run with thoughtful facilities and good attention to the details of your stay. Until recently, the resort could be thought of as out of the way, but with all the new development, it is no longer so. The main strip in Ao Nang has now extended almost to the doorstep, so there are plenty of bars and restaurants on your walk down to the beach front, as well as the night plaza serving street food. The closest swimmable area remains, however, a good 15-20 minute walk (hence the big pool!).

Opened in mid-2004, Krabi La Playa set the standard for many newer resorts, and also forced a lot of the older ones to wake up and refurbish their rooms in a more contemporary style. Dark wood furniture and Thai fabrics are now the norm in upmarket Krabi hotels and they still look good in La Playa's airy rooms (although some white walls could do with a re-paint). Pool-side Deluxe is worth considering, even if you don't need direct pool access, due to the extra facilities in-room: a DVD player and wireless internet access will be useful on evenings you do not want to go out.
