Krabi Seaview Resort: Pictures, Reviews and Rates

01/06/07 Krabi Seaview Resort is no longer open for business. The resort has been taken over and will soon be demolished and replaced with commercial shop units.

While Krabi Seaview Resort's name may now be slightly misleading (the resort did actually enjoy sea views when it was built ten years ago, but others have since moved in in front), the resort itself is nothing less than straightforward. The Swiss management keeps the place running smoothly and efficiently and there have constant improvements to the property since its construction.

A swimming pool and children's playground were built in 2002; an outdoor Thai massage area was added in 2004; and the rooms have been completely redecorated last year with attractive new linen and soft furnishings. The accommodation consists of individual bungalows, with private verandah, arranged on a landscaped hillside overlooking the main road through Ao Nang. The beach is a short (150m) walk away and all shops and amenities are close at hand.

The 17 bungalows come with double, twin or one double and one single bed and are, interestingly, priced according to occupancy - a boon for single travellers. All rooms are comfortable and offer air conditioning, fan, hot water shower, TV with individual satellite receiver (meaning you have a full range of channels, rather than the standard hotel package), fridge with minibar, kettle, digital safe and IDD telephone. Drinking water and tea and coffee are offered on a complimentary basis in the bungalows.

Krabi Seaview Resort also offers wireless ADSL (broadband) internet access free to all guests, which means you can use your laptop anywhere within the grounds, even by the swimming pool. There is also a high speed connection available free of charge to all guests at the resort's public computer terminal.

There is an award-winning PADI five-star diving school, Ao Nang Divers, integrated into the resort. Those interested in taking up a course, or doing some fun diving should contact us for information on dive - accommodation packages. The resort also offers its own selection of tours and excursions, including golf. Krabi Seaview's restaurant, "The Roof", is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving both Thai and European cuisine and the lobby bar, "The Safety Stop" also seems to be popular with guests.
