AS an international base, Krabi has improved dramatically over the last ten years. Recently (March 2006) a new international terminal has been opened at the airport, but for now, there are flights only to and from Bangkok and Singapore - both major international hubs. More charter flight services to Europe are expected to arrive within a year or two, although these are likely to operate during November - April only.
For the current, up-to-date flight schedule to Krabi Airport (KBV), please see our Getting to Krabi page, which has the latest information.
There is no train service in Krabi (the rail network does not reach here), but there is a reliable inter-provincial bus service for long-distance travel within Thailand. The main highways are in good condition and there are excellent and relatively traffic-free routes to Phuket, Bangkok, Surat Thani and Trang and Had Yai in the south.

FLYER is the monthly print magazine for Krabi Province. As well as features, you'll find restaurant reviews, maps, transport schedules and other resources to help you make the most of your stay. Pick up your free copy when you arrive at the airport, or ask for it in your hotel.

The average Thailand guidebook has only a couple of pages dedicated to Krabi. We've created a whole book about the province, its attractions and where to stay. You'll find everything you need to plan your holiday and comprehensive maps and information for when you are here. Order your copy now!
