We are always asked about rooms with a view and actually, surprisingly few hotels and resorts in mainland Krabi offer rooms with panoramic ocean views. Those that do have even partial sea views available are listed below: if a hotel is not listed there, it usually means there are no seaview rooms in that hotel.

We have further classified the hotels according to whether they have direct beach access, i.e. if the resort is located directly on the sand, with no road in-between. The very few resorts on the mainland that offer this quieter type of location are marked with the palm tree symbol.

For a greater choice of hotels and resorts with direct beach access, it is worth looking at both the Lanta and Phi Phi Islands, as well as Koh Jum and Ko Ngai.

All hotels and resorts directly on the beach front road in Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara
The majority of the rooms in these hotels are non sea view; but all have a premium category of seaview rooms. They are all located on the main road that runs behind the beach: no hotels in the Ao Nang area, with the exception of Krabi Resort, have direct access to the sand.

All hotels and resorts with seaview rooms on the Railay peninsula
Although most hotels in Railay and Ton Sai beaches are located on the sand, only a handful have rooms with sea views - it is usually the restaurant and pool that have the direct beach access. In Railay West, all 3 resorts have a few rooms with seaview:

No hotels in Tonsai Bay have rooms with sea views.

Central Krabi Bay Resort in Ao Pai Plong (between Tonsai and Ao Nang) has all sea-facing rooms directly on the sand, and, like the rest of Railay, has no road access.
