Thip Residence is a small quiet and peaceful place well situated on the road to Shell Fossil, a two minute walk to Ao Nammao Pier, departure point to Railay Beach. Suitable for people requiring a quiet and comfortable place. The rooms are fully furnished with single or double beds and provide the following for your convenience:

Minimart, Coffee House, Restaurant and Internet facilities are available downstairs. Places of interest and things to do around the hotel are Fossil Shell Beach, the aquarium, horse riding and jogging on the quiet beach opposite the hotel. Railay Beach is ten minutes away by longtail boat and has swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, rock climbing, night life and more.
Pick up outside hotel by local bus every 15 minutes to Aonang which has a lot of shops, bars, restaurants, and also lovely beach. Krabi town can be reached by local bus for shopping, market, temples, and more.

Our comments on Thip Residence:
A very nice, friendly and spotlessly clean guesthouse that's actually very conveniently located (directly opposite KT Bay Resort), despite being "off the beaten track" in terms of tourists. There's a pier to go to Railay and the islands a short walk away, a beach right across the road, and good transport links to both Krabi Town and Ao Nang. The guesthouse also offers a tour and activity desk to help you organise day trips etc. and English is spoken quite well here.
Rooms are generously sized and well-equipped and all have en-suite bathrooms and private balconies. They are sound-proofed, or seem to be anyway as there is no traffic noise in the rooms at all (not that the road outside is very busy anyway). There is also wireless internet (WI-FI) available in rooms and downstairs - amazing for the price!
A couple of downsides: being a guesthouse there is no swimming pool or garden; there is also not much in the way of nightlife or restaurants nearby. During high and peak season, however, Thip Residence will make an excellent budget choice for those who wish to avoid the heaving crowds in Ao Nang while still being in a good position to explore the region.

Reservation Policy
The prices quoted are per room, per night, based on two people sharing and include VAT. Extra bed charge is compulsory for a third person staying in the room aged 6 years and upwards. A child under 6 years sharing parents room with no extra bed may stay free of charge (complimentary breakfast will be provided).
Cancellation Policy
Thip Residence will charge the following cancellation penalties:
- Cancellation made less than 10 days before arrival: 1 room night will be charged.
- No show, or early check-out, no refund will be given.
Please note than following cancellation, any refund due under the hotel policy above will be subject to a processing charge of 5% of refund value + 350 THB to cover bank costs.
Amendments to any booking (e.g. change of dates, extension of stay) that do not require a refund may be made free of charge.
