Tubkaek Sunset Resort: Highly recommended beachfront resort offering close to idyllic seclusion on a fabulous stretch of deserted beach, and - even with last year's price increase - still at a fraction of the price of its 5-star neighbours. Although very far from the crowd, Tubkaek is still part of the mainland so is convenient to get to and from transport-wise, making both islands and inland excursions possible.
Rooms are small and basically converted containers, but are cheerfully furnished and manage to squeeze in a bathtub and small verandah. The bungalows are all the same and are categorised according to their location - the Garden View being the furthest back and facing inland. The resort is laid out around a vast lawn fronted with towering casuarina trees, giving a wonderful sense of space. The swimming pool is also on the small side, but as you have direct beach access, a rare thing on the crowded mainland, this may not seem so important. There is also a decent restaurant (essential as the nearest other options are a 400 baht [one way] taxi ride away) on the beach, as well as a small spa.
The new Duplex Jacuzzi Villas are situated next to the swimming pool and offer luxurious suite accommodation with a bedroom and separate living room. Staff are generally very courteous and helpful. Tup Keak Sunset would make an ideal "getaway"-type holiday for honeymooners or anyone else seeking romantic seclusion.

Reservation Policy
Prices are per room per night, based on 2 adults sharing, and include breakfast, service charge and VAT.
Family Policy
Maximum occupancy for the bungalows are 2 adults and 1 child. A child under 12 sharing existing bedding with parents (no extra bed) will be charged at 250 THB per night for breakfast. If an extra bed is required, there will be a supplement payable, as per the rates above. This price includes breakfast. The Duplex Jacuzzi Villas are available as connecting units. Baby cots are available free of charge upon request.
Compulsory Gala Dinner Charges: 24 Dec - 3550 THB per adult and 1775 THB per child under 12 years; 31 Dec - 4150 THB per adult and 2075 THB per child under 12 years.
Cancellation Policy
A charge of one night's stay will apply in the event of:
- Cancellation within 21 days of arrival (Nov 1 - Dec 14 & Jan 16 - Apr 30)
- Cancellation within 30 days of arrival (Dec 15 - Jan 15)
- Cancellation within 14 days of arrival (May 1 - Oct 31)
In the event of a no-show, early departure or cancellation within 72 hours of arrival date: no refund will be given.
Please note than following cancellation, any refund due under the hotel policy above will be subject to a processing charge of 5% of refund value + 350 THB to cover bank costs.
Amendments to any booking (e.g. change of dates, extension of stay) that do not require a refund may be made free of charge.
