Topic: Tiger Airways to suspend Singapore - Krabi route

in the krabi flyer i read that silk air are planning to scrap their service from krabi to singapore after the high season is over.  is that true?

Re: Tiger Airways to suspend Singapore - Krabi route

Not Silk Air, Tiger Airways - Silk Air stopped several years back  smile. Yes, the route will not run during low season - and we are not sure if / when they will start again. If you look at their website you will see now you are not able to book beyond April.

Here is article from Flyer for those who missed it:

Tiger Airways may axe Krabi route
TIGER airways, the Singapore-based budget airline, is considering stopping its Krabi-Singapore route following this high season in April. Other destinations in Thailand, such as Phuket and Chiang Mai could also be axed as the airline decides to concentrate on new markets in Australia and India.
The move, if confirmed, will be a blow to businesses in Krabi, which rely heavily on the Singapore market during the low season months.

Just pray that JetStar keep flying into Phuket and don't discover Krabi airport and divert all the Kath, Kimmies, Sharons and their ocker louts mates to our corner of Thai paradise; these kind of aussies are wrecking phuket like they did to bali and lets just hope they dont come our way.
