Topic: Ya Ya Resort to be taken over by Railay Bay Group

Railay Bay Resort Ltd Partnership, which owns the popular Railay Bay Resort and Railay Princess Resort & Spa, has taken over the management of backpackers' favourite YaYa Resort, on the east side of the Railay Peninsula in Krabi.

Ya Ya Resort opened more than 10 years ago with wooden "tree house" style accommodation and has now grown to 111 rooms, both fan and air conditioned. Its restaurant is renowned for excellent Thai food.

“We are honoured to be taking on this property," says Khun Weerachoke Waiyarat, Railay Bay's Sales and Marketing Manager. "We look forward to sharing our values including the “Wow” factor and 100% guest satisfaction guarantee, with staff and customers alike."

The group is planning a major renovation of the property beginning in April 2012, which will transform the resort into a high quality "bed and breakfast" type hotel. Meanwhile, as of 3 November, 2011, the resort is being run as the "Railay Princess Budget Wing", as it is located adjacent to the Railay Princess Resort.
