ITINERARY: This premium 4 islands itinerary is designed especially for the following customers:
- Cruise ship passengers docking (tendering) in Krabi for a one day tour from a cruise boat (e.g. P&O cruise customers)
- Customers staying in hotels in Phuket but looking for a one day island tour in Krabi
- Customers wanting a slightly later departing island tour (e.g. those arriving in Krabi too late for the normal tours)
Leaving from Krabi (Nopparat Thara Pier) at 10.30am, this classic Krabi itinerary will take you around the local islands close to the Ao Nang coast, by luxury speed boat. You’ll cruise past incredible rock formations and overhangs, as well as around the “head” of Chicken Island. Spend time on the amazing powder white beach that adorns almost every Thailand travel brochure in existence, at Poda Island.
You’ll also get to walk across a spectacular three pronged sandbank between some small islets (Koh Mor and Koh Tub, leading off to Chicken Island). The amount of sand visible will vary throughout the month as it depends on the tides – the visit will be timed to ensure maximum exposure. There will also be a couple of snorkeling / swimming stops in sheltered bays during this part of the tour (snorkeling equipment provided).
Next you will head for the famous Railay peninsula for a buffet lunch at a restaurant directly on Railay Beach, with amazing views over the cliffs and islands. After lunch you can explore the peninsula, including visiting Phra Nang Cave, which Trip Advisor reviewers recently voted the 5th best beach in Asia. Relax here and enjoy the view or more swimming.
Head back to Ao Nang in time for transfer back to the cruise boat, the ferry back to Phuket, or to your local hotel.
For customers based in Phuket, the timings are pick up at 07.00 – 07.45 and drop off at 17.45 – 18.30 (depending on hotel location). A compulsory supplement is due for the ferry / minivan transfer to bring you to / from Krabi to join the tour. The tour itself is run by the ferry operator so transfers are seamless and there is no risk of missing the departure on either side.
As with all island tours, the itinerary order will vary according to the tides and sea conditions on your day of travel.
NOTE: since 18 June 2015, customers on island-hopping tours that stop at beaches with ranger stations are subject to pay National Park entry fees. For the 4 Islands tour, a fee of 400 THB per adult and 200 THB per child is payable in cash at Poda Island. This is not included in your ticket price, so please bring some cash with you on the day to cover this.
Expected group size: 10 – 40 pax, depending on the day and time of year. We will request smaller boats wherever possible, though this cannot be guaranteed.
Important: Speedboat travel is not recommended for pregnant women, infants under the age of 2, or anyone with back problems.
This trip includes 2 open water snorkeling stops of around 30 minutes. It is possible to stay on the boat during this time. Please wear a life jacket if not a confident swimmer. There are also fish that can be seen in the shallow water around Poda and Tub islands, which is good for children who are not able to snorkel. Travel time to the first beach is around 15 minutes.
