Itinerary: A highly recommended and safe introduction to exploring the under water world, Discover Scuba Diving is PADI’s entry level course. It’s designed for complete beginners and aimed at those who would like to try out scuba without committing to a longer course involving study. If you find you enjoy it and would like to continue on and get your “Open Water” diving license, you may be able to count this course towards your final qualification (if you apply within six months of completion).
PADI Discover Scuba Diving is available to anyone in good health aged 10 years and over.
The day consists of two dives, done in exactly the same place as the qualified divers (no pool dives or “watered down” experiences here!). A training session from an experienced PADI dive instructor will take place on board the dive boat as you head out towards the dive sites, which will get you confident and ready to take the plunge!
You will experience two separate dives using the scuba equipment, to a maximum depth of 12m and under the full supervision of your instructor. The location of the dives and itinerary will vary according to the date booked, but will usually be around the Phi Phi Islands. If the location is important to you, please check the current schedule on the “fun diving” page before you book.
Discover Scuba Diving courses to Koh Haa Yai (Mondays only from late November – mid-March) will incur a supplement of 1400 THB per person. If you would like to learn to dive in Koh Haa Yai, please check availability with us first before booking.
Comfort levels on board the dive boat are high, with a toilet, shower, and dining area and two decks to relax and take in the scenery. A buffet lunch, early morning and afternoon snacks, soft drinks, electrolytes, tea and coffee are included in the trip price.
Important: We will contact you following booking to send you the course registration, travel waiver and collect additional info required to issue your equipment. Please ensure your email address is correct and that you whitelist all email from yourkrabi.com.
