ITINERARY: For those who can’t stomach speed boats, or who prefer to be able to see something of the journey, this comfortable passenger ferry offers an alternative way to visit the world famous Phi Phi Islands.
You will join the regular passenger ferry service, departing from Ao Nang, via Railay, that cruises past the 4 island group, and Bamboo Island. Continue on to Phi Phi Don where, after the ferry passengers disembark, you will have the large boat to yourselves. You will cruise around Phi Phi Leh Island, seeing sites such as Viking Cave and Ao Bileh lagoon, as well as making a stop for swimming and snorkeling at Maya Bay. Note: it is not possible to disembark on “The Beach” itself.
Lounge on the deck and take in the magnificent views before returning to Phi Phi Don for a buffet lunch (included) and then a couple of hours relaxation, shopping and beach time on Ao Tonsai and Ao Lohdalum, the twin bays of the island.
Note: the cruise around Phi Phi Leh may take place before or after lunch, according to tidal conditions. As this cruise only goes out with a minimum of 20 passengers, we would also recommend the normal one day round trip to Phi Phi Don island by ferry if you don’t wish to travel by speedboat; you can then explore the islands yourself by longtail boat or on foot.
Expected group size: 20 – 40 pax, depending on the day and time of year. Note that the vessel used for the cruise is a working ferry, so will be full of normal passengers on the way to Phi Phi and back.
This trip includes an open water snorkeling stop of around 30 minutes. It is possible to stay on the boat during this time. Please wear a life jacket if not a confident swimmer. Travel time to / from Phi Phi is around 1.5 hours each way.
