ITINERARY: This comprehensive course focuses on the techniques and safety involved in climbing a sports route. You will learn how to lead climb, do multi-pitch routes and abseil or rappel. In depth training will cover how to make and use the necessary knots and what to do in certain scenarios (e.g. self-rescue), which will equip you for independent sports climbing here or anywhere in the world.
This course is designed for those with a serious interest in climbing, whether you are a complete beginner, or wish to strengthen your climbing skills and knowledge. It’s also fairly flexible so if you would like to go more in-depth with one aspect, or take more than the one recommended rest day in the middle, you can.
Expected group size: 1-4 pax maximum per instructor, depending on the day and time of year.
Important: Because of the physical demands required, this course is not recommended for younger children.
